DENIAL™-The Rules for 2007

1. DENIAL™ is played with 1 die. Roll die to see who starts.Highest number starts.Ties roll again.

2. If you land on Alcohol going forward you slip back to Principal’s Office. If you land on Alcohol going backwards, it is a safe spot.

3. If you land on Tobacco going forward you slide back to Meeting with Parents. If you land on Tobacco going backwards, you rest on Tobacco as a safe spot.

4. If you land on a Choice spot, the person in front of you picks up the Choice card and reads you the

question. When you answer the question you go forward or back depending on your answer. Ex. Go

ahead 1 space, you advance one space and you stay on that spot until your next turn.

5. If you land on a Consequence spot, the person in front of you picks up the Consequence card and reads you the question.When you answer the question you go forward or back depending on your answer.Ex.. Go back 2 spaces. You go back 2 spaces and your turn is over. You stay on the spot

you landed on.

6. Real life is about choices and consequences, the more right choices the better the results; the more bad choices, the more bad consequences.

7. The landing places are positives and negatives. The alcohol or drug squares have negative

consequences. The positive squares have positive consequences to help speed you around the board.

8. Each time you pass start you pickup one chip. The first player to have four chips wins the game.

9. If you land on Detention Centre,Grounded or Cutting Classes, you miss a turn unless you have a Get Out of Trouble Free card. If you use your Get Out of Trouble Free card it is returned to the bottom of the deck.

10. Character qualities such as Decision Making, Handling Stress, A Student and Goal Setting have positive results as they advance you around the board.

11. If you land on Problem Solving, Peer Pressure or Custody or Jail, they are neutral spaces or free landing spots and you stay there, you do not go forward or back.

12. If you land on Drug Test, you go back 2 spaces to Inhalants and you stay there.
